Wow, where to begin. A few weeks back I took a trip down to Texas for work and while I was there, I decided to stop in and see my sister Stephanie and her husband Davis. We went to Austin to spend a few hours relaxing and paddle boarding. It was a little warm out there, but it was beautiful out on the water.

Paddle boarding in Austin!

And while we were out on the water, I saw something I had never seen before: a paddle board water yoga class. I don't know how I feel about that, but they looked like they were having fun at least!

Afterward, we decided to get something to eat and Stephanie told me about a pho place they tried that was really good. Well, I love pho. I mean I love food, but I especially love a delicious bowl of pho. The noodles, the broth...ahh. So yummy! So we went to Pho Please. I wish I would have remembered to take a picture of the outside of the place!

We ordered some beef bao as an appetizer. They were delicious! Instead of normal tortillas though, the tacos were served on fluffy, almost wonton-like rolls. Its hard to describe, but the taste was amazing!

The beef, cucumbers, beans and carrots worked amazingly with the cilantro. In short, they were heavenly. And then our main course was served...

Look at that bowl of pho. This was the bowl my sister ordered. And here was mine...

The beef, the egg. The broth in the bottom. This was heaven! I tried my sister's bowl and the jalapenos added a wonderful spice to the dish.

And I love to eat beans. Green, pinto, black, it doesn't matter. And these beans added a delicious crunch to the dish and absorbed all the flavor.

After we had eaten to the point where we all hated ourselves, it was time to head out back to my hotel. I always love seeing my sister, and her husband Davis is pretty cool too! It was a great evening and the food and company were great. If you get a chance and you are in Austin, stop into this pho joint! You won't regret it!
